HCA Nurse Residency
Our Nashville nurse residency, backed by our parent company, HCA Healthcare, allows nurses to hone in on their clinical skills while introducing them to nursing growth opportunities. Our 12-month training program combines classroom education, simulation-learning with patient mannequins and paired mentors with a TriStar Southern Hills nurse.
Nursing Councils
We offer two nursing councils at TriStar Southern Hills for nurses looking to get involved with impacting policies and patient outcomes. Our Professional Practice Council and Shared Governance Council allow nurses from different specialties to meet together to influence patient care across all of our service lines and are a great way to get involved by taking ownership of your professional development!
Director Development Program
HCA prepares nurse leaders in emergency care and surgical care for director roles. TriStar Southern Hills nurses are connected to program alumni through networking opportunities and ongoing professional mentorship.
CNO Development Program
HCA also offers a one-year executive development program for nursing directors to make the transition to chief nursing officers and be part of a hospitals administration team. As a chief nursing officer, a nurse is responsible for nursing recruiting and retention, the delivery of patient care programs, strategic planning and implementing nursing innovations.
