About Our Program
At TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, our procedures are performed using minimally invasive techniques. This means major operations, such as laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, can be performed through tiny incisions with specialized miniature surgical instruments. The result: reduced postsurgical pain, shortened hospital stays, shorter overall recovery time and lowered rick of complications and infection.
These procedures have been shown in long-term medical studies to help patients safely, effectively and permanently lose over 50 percent of their excess weight, improving health, mobility and quality of life.
Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy
Gastric sleeves are a purely restrictive procedure in which approximately 75 percent of the stomach is removed. It provides appetite suppression without the use of a foreign device or the need for adjustments.
