(November 18, 2014) — TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center has earned The Joint Commission»s Gold Seal of Approval® for the management of joint replacement of the knee and joint replacement of the hip by demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission»s national standards for health care quality and outcomes in disease-specific care. The certification award recognizes TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center»s dedication to continuous compliance with The Joint Commission»s standards.

TriStar Southern Hills underwent a rigorous on-site review in October 2014. A Joint Commission expert evaluated TriStar Southern Hills for compliance with standards of care specific to the needs of patients and families, including infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management.
