Nashville, TN - Joanna Conley has been appointed chief executive officer (CEO) of TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, effective April 1, 2017. Conley currently serves as CEO of Poinciana Medical Center, an HCA affiliate in Kissimmee, Florida.

As CEO of TriStar Southern Hills, Conley will be responsible for operations at the 126-bed hospital and related care areas serving communities in and around south Nashville.

“Joanna has a demonstrated commitment to leadership, a culture of engagement and quality patient care,” said Heather Rohan, president of HCA’s TriStar Health. “I am confident that she will continue to build on the legacy and commitment of providing superior patient care and service the staff and physicians have built at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center.”

Prior to her current role, Conley served as chief operating officer of Poinciana Medical Center and associate chief operating officer at HCA’s Osceola Regional Medical Center, also in Kissimmee. She is actively engaged in the community including serving as governing board member of the UNC School of Public Health Alumni Association, board member of the Valencia College Foundation, board member of the Girl Scouts of Citrus Council, trustee of the Kissimmee/Osceola Chamber of Commerce, board member of the Haines City Chamber, and new generations chair of the Rotary Club of Poinciana.

Conley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health, Health Policy and Administration from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management in Nashville, Tennessee. She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

“I am excited for the opportunity to join the TriStar Southern Hills team and work with the physicians, staff and board members to continue serving patients in the local community,” said Conley.

Conley replaces Tom Ozburn, who was appointed CEO of Parkridge Health System, sister HCA affiliate in Chattanooga, Tennessee, earlier this year.
