NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 16, 2013) – TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center will open The Joint and Spine Center on October 28. The Joint and Spine Center is a boutique-concept center dedicated to the wellness of patients who require orthopaedic or neurosurgery.
“We are thrilled to provide a state-of-the-art center that doesn’t have a traditional hospital look or feel,” said Thomas Ozburn, chief executive officer at TriStar Southern Hills. “We are providing a hotel-like environment for our patients and families focusing on providing an exceptional experience. When patients walk into The Joint and Spine Center, everything will feel different—from the bistro dining options to the concierge nursing. Patients will be encouraged to actively participate in the healing process and will have access to the wellness gym on the floor. Family members will be encouraged to join the patients at meal time in the bistro and become actively involved with our medical team to encourage patient recovery.”
The Joint and Spine Center consists of highly trained, board certified physicians along with a dedicated team of nursing and rehab personnel, discharge planners, and pain management specialists. Patients will enjoy a hotel-like setting in a private room with gourmet meals, internet access and concierge-like services. Meals and accommodations are available for a family member or “coach” throughout the patient’s admission.
The Joint and Spine Center is located on the fifth floor of the hospital. TriStar Southern Hills invested $3.5 million to construct and equip the new 20-bed, 18,000 square-foot center.
