TriStar Southern Hills Inks Joint Venture Premier Orthopaedic Surgery Center

NASHVILLE, TN (June 5, 2012) — TriStar Southern Hills recently announced the formation of a joint venture with Premier Orthopaedic Surgery Center and TriStar Health to expand its outpatient surgery capabilities and strengthen its partnerships with physicians in the Middle Tennessee area.
The partnership is a natural extension of the significant growth in orthoapedics services at TriStar Southern Hills and the rest of the TriStar Health family of hospitals in the Middle Tennessee area. “We have seen a tremendous growth in the need for orthopaedic services in the markets we serve, and a partnership with Premier allows us to offer greater coverage with more options for patients and their families,” said Thomas Ozburn, chief executive officer of TriStar Southern Hills.

TriStar Health will serve as the managing partner in the joint venture. Premier brings 10 leading orthopaedic surgeons to the partnership who complete approximately 2,400 orthopaedic surgical cases per year. TriStar and Premier expect to expand the partnership over time to include additional, qualified physicians. The surgery center is currently located near TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center.
