TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center announced today the appointment of its Chief Operating Officer. Cory Mead, MHA, will assume the role overseeing operations for the 126-bed south Nashville facility, effective October 16.

Mead comes to TriStar Southern Hills from Reston, Virginia, most recently serving as Associate Chief Operating Officer and Co-Ethics and Compliance Officer at HCA Healthcare’s Reston Hospital Center. Prior to Reston Hospital Center, Mead served as Director of Operations and Administrative Fellow at HCA Healthcare’s Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, and Administrative Intern and interim Director of Medical Imaging at HCA Healthcare’s Belton Regional Medical Center in Belton, Missouri.

Mead earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Master of Health Administration degrees from the University of Iowa. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
